Music Reflection for April - May

April 7 2009 We need to make a good pentatonic melody with A,A,B,A and write the 'not' It should be look like a song. So we can make a lyrics. Instrument class : Play the guitar and learn about TABS.

April 14 2009 I made pentatonic melody basic on '1,3,4,5,7' B pattern 16 bars. And the I make the lyrics and then I learn how to install Finale sofware so we can put the pentatonic melody there and print it. Instrument class : We play the chord, E four times, chord A7 four times, and chord D 8 times. We try and try.

April 17 2009 We need to submit the Finale by next week. I already install and made it. Now, we learn about transphosition. Transpos the C major scale to D major scale and so on. Instrument class : We try to play the TABS of guitar for our assesment next week.

April 21 2009 Today is my assesment. I need to play the TABS of the guitar. I'm so nervous. I play the wrong strings when I plucked it. I think i will got a bad score

April 24 2009 I learn about Transpotition again. And then I learn about natural scale and D scale.

April 28 2009 Today we put our Finale Program homeworks to the computer in the Music Room.. And then there's still student that don't know how to use the Finale Software. So, the teacher show it again for those who don't make the Finale, and also we need to make a blog that is a reflection about THE TERM 3 MUSIC REFLECTION. The teacher show us how to make it.


May 1 2009 - Today we fill in the reflection for our assessment last 2 week on Tuesday. Then Mr.Harry explain the C,G, and D scale

May 8 2009 -Today we study about transposition. From C scale to D scale, and from C scale to A scale. Then Mr.Harry gave us a homework about it

May 12 2009 - Today Mr.Harry gave us a 16 bars of melody and ask us to transfer it to D scale. Then we practice our own melody. After that, we practice the melody which Mr.Harry gave us at the first session

May 15 2009 - Today we study about transposition again. Transfer from C, to G and D scale"-

May 19 2009 -Today we study about transposition again. Then we practice our assessment (playing our own melody) next week

May 22 2009- Today we practice our own songs for our assessment. Then we also watch some of our classmates practicing in front of everybody

MUSIC REFLECTION FOR TERM 3

Term 3 - Jan Mar 2009 Music Reflection

January 2009

(First day) At the first time in Music class, we introduce our self with others and the teacher. And then we fill the formulir, which instrument what we want to choose. And all instrument maximal 6 people. I choose Gitar , and then we made a group with all 6 person in one instrument. After that we learn about melody that in grade 5 or 6.

(Second day) We start to bring the Instrument. I bring the gitar. In Music theory class, we learn about ASIAN MUSIC. Example of Asian Music are Indian Music, Korean Music, Chinese Music, and Japanese Music. Instrument Class : With Mr. John, I learn how to play gitar and in how position bring the gitar when we play it. First time we study about P, I, M, A. And we study how to plucked the string with our finger with the P, I, M, A finger.

(Third day) After we learn about ASIAN MUSIC, all of us need to make a group of each part. One group is 7 or more. I choose Chinese Music with my 6 friends : Gianna, Nadira, Astri, Eileen, and Esther. After that, we need to make a presentation about CHINESE MUSIC with power point and presentated in front for next 2 weeks. Instrument Class : We learn about the P,I,M,A again. And try to plucked the string.

(Fourth day) Me and all of my group start discuss about the ASIAN MUSIC. There are 4 part to make the presentation. First is Introduction, then Content, after that about the Chinese Music, and the last make the References. We start to divide all of us to search the Introduction, Content, and the References. I'm looking for the Instrument of Chinese Music and we wrote it for search at home. Instrument class : We learn to plucked the string with 'PAMI and PIMA' 5 times.

(Fifth day) We start to make the presentation for 'Chinese Music' next week. Wish me luck!

(Sixth day) The teacher gives us a song, title : Little Silver Moon it's from Asian music. We try to sing it in front.

(Seventh day) Me and my friend start to presentation in front of the class. We already made the presentation with Power Point, I make a small paper to write the important sentence and can read it when we are in front. -Presentation- -> After the presentation, I think my presentation is good with all my friend. In my presentation there are 'The instrument, How we use it, Famous songs,Famous Composer, etc" There are no instrument class.


February 2009 :

(First day) We should make a Reflection about our Presentation last week. We write it on Journal and give it to Mr. Hari.

(Second day) We need to make a question and answer about this presentation CHINESE MUSIC INSTRUMENT. At least make 5 question about the Chinese Music on paper. We give it to the teacher and then one-bye-one, was called to answer the question and exchange question.

(Third day) The teacher give us a quiz about Asian Music.

(Fourth day) Last week we make the presentation in power point with all the group. By now we need to make a booklet about CHINESE MUSIC individually, 10 pages not included : cover,content, and references. We submit next weeks. Instrument class : I learn about Chord like chord C and D.

(Fifth day) I'm done with my booklet and I submit it. But the teacher said that my booklet is needed to be 'colorful' So I need to make another 3 pages with picture. After that we learn about TRIAD ACCORD / CHORD like sharp and flat. We sing the 'Little Silver Moon' with pair. My pair is Nadroh. Instrument class : I start learn about not balok, ex. Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do in guitar.

(Sixth day) We learn again about Triad Accord : Lower tetra and Uper tetra. After that I learn about TONIC TRIAD.

(Seventh day) I learn about Major and Minor scale. Like A major, F major, Eb major, and Ab major. Major scale and others.

March 2009 :

(First day) Now, I study about Pentatonic and Diatonic scale. There are 2 way to write this scale. I learn about the 'not' and wrote it on Music book. Instrument class : Start to play the music with 'not' Sol Mi Mi Fa Re Re Do Re Mi Fa Sol Sol Sol, etc.

(Second day) We learn again about Pentatonic and Diatonic scale. It should be 4 bars each.

(Third day) Right now, I start to make Pentatonic melody. With '1,2,3,5,6' that is A pattern. The B pattern is like '1,3,4,5,7'

(Fourth day) I made a Pentatonic melody basic on A,A,B,A pattern.
